Harlem Globetrotters Come to The Palace

I remember growing up in the 70s filled with anticipation & excitement everytime I heard the name Harlem Globetrotters.  Usually a Saturday afternoon game that had me glued to the set and of course right after the game, I would grab the basketball and head to the park knowing that my friends would be there waiting to play ball and mimic what we just witnessed on TV.
Throughout their history, the Original Harlem Globetrotters have showcased their iconic talents in 120 countries and territories on six continents, often breaking down cultural and societal barriers while providing fans with their first-ever basketball experience. Proud inductees of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame, the Globetrotters have entertained hundreds of millions of fans—among them popes, kings, queens, and presidents.
The line-up has included some of the greatest players ever, including Wilt Chamberlain, Marques Haynes, Curly Neal, and Connie Hawkins, just to name a few, and they have appeared in their own movies and TV shows.
The Harlem Globetrotters continue a world famous tradition of ball handling wizardry, basketball artistry, and one-of-a-kind family entertainment that continues to thrill fans of all ages.
It's now your turn (or your children's turn) to experience the same feeling I had. See them live on April 15th @ the Palace of Auburn Hills. Just go!

Goodfellas Social Grill & Sports Bar, Flint

The old Maxi's place got more than a new name.  It got a new owner, new interior design, new menu and comes complete with a whole new vibe.  In short, the ALL NEW Goodfellas is the bomb.  On a recent trip back from Ann Arbor we stopped by to say hi to a dear friend and check out the new digs.  George Falaras greeted us with a warm welcoming smile and gave us the best seat in the house.  Of course, as I look around, they are all great seats.  George has brought his expertise and creativity back to Flint town.  With live entertainment, great food, a TV at every viewing point, and all around good times atmosphere, this place will be a regular stop for me (and I'm guessing for everyone else too).  With Summer just around the corner Goodfellas has the cure for the indoor blues.  The extensive patio comes complete with a big screen for all your sporting events, plenty of seating in the sun or shade, and comes with it's very own palm trees.  Come see for yourself that I'm not BSing ya, and tell George Brian from NorthernSpin sent ya. Cheers!
